Connectivity

Past experience has shown us that relying on a single carrier will inevitably result in downtime at some point or another. Since switching to a triple-carrier model in mid 2010 we have experienced zero connectivity downtime. Here are some facts:
- Maximum redundancy using three carriers at all times. Our main providers are Verizon, AT&T and Level 3.
- Direct access to the world's leading Tier1 carrier backbones, thanks to our datacenter location.
- A network of 160+ global carriers and telecommunication companies, which share our network.
- Some of the best connectivity available, unrivaled by regular hosting providers.
Datacenter

Located at Terremark's flagship facility, NAP of the Americas, our servers sit atop of one of the most connected access points on the globe—and one of the most significant telecommunications projects in the world. Some of its key features:
- Located in downtown Miami, a city that has been ranked as one of the top-five best-interconnected cities in the world, ahead of San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
- Tier-IV facility — the first purpose-built, carrier-neutral Network Access Point and is the only facility of its kind specifically designed to link Latin America with the rest of the world.
Security & Network
NAP of the Americas is also one of the country's most secure places—used by the U.S. government, banks, the world's largest telecommunications companies and some of the top e-commerce and social media sites on the planet.
- Security is monitored 24/7/365 with armed security personnel, controlled key access to all areas with the latest security technology. Even with approved access, security is rigorous.
- A carrier-neutral access point, the center is a centralized location, handing off where Optical, Ethernet, MPLS, Voice and Internet traffic.
- The center delivers unrivaled connection redundancy, and is a direct link to many American, European and Latin American carriers.
Our Servers
We invite you to take one of our servers on a test drive—you won't be disappointed.
Specifically we use:
- Custom configured brand name servers to deliver speed, all the way down the line.
- The best possible hardware for hosting available, anywhere.
- Servers on a standard rotation, guaranteeing you will never get stuck on an old server.
- All servers include redundant power supplies connected to separate circuits.
Power & Environmentals
Designed to withstand a category 5 hurricane, the NAP of the Americas boasts the most advanced and reliable integrated systems of their kind in the world, attracting a highly sophisticated client base. In fact, the power and environmental systems are so advanced, that NAP technicians can perform maintenance on any element of a system without impacting operations. This design ensures an unprecedented 100% availability guarantee for all power and environmental systems.
